TO HONOR
Because freedom was never meant to be mourned—it was meant to be lived.
Memorial Day is a time to remember. A time to pause, reflect, and give thanks for the men and women who laid down their lives so the rest of us could carry on—freely, boldly, and with purpose.
But it’s also a time to live well. To laugh with our kids. To sit with our parents. To shake hands with neighbors and share stories with friends. To swim, to sing, to gather, and to celebrate not just what we have, but why we have it.
Because that’s what they fought for. That’s what they died for.
The freedom to build a life. The chance to wake up on a Monday in May and choose joy, fellowship, and peace.
So as we remember those who never came home, we also honor them—in how we spend our time, how we treat one another, and how we carry this country forward with decency and hope.
No grand gesture required. Just a heart full of gratitude, a life lived with intention, and a willingness to be good to each other.
They’d want us to remember. But they’d also want us to live.
To those we’ve lost—we remember you.
To those still here—we honor you.
To all who cherish this country—live well.
