SOY SANCTUARY
DUMMY OF THE WEEK
đ DATELINE NASHVILLE TN: SOY SANCTUARY
Weâre back, folks. Itâs Wednesday, and that means itâs time for Dummy of the Week. Sometimes the dummies live right here in Williamson County â bless their hearts, weâve got no shortage. But sometimes, the sheer volume of stupid bubbling just outside our borders canât be ignored. So this week, weâre heading a little north to take a look at a dummy whoâs managed to make headlines for all the wrong reasons.
This oneâs long overdue. Nashvilleâs mayor has managed to embarrass his city, his state, and frankly, anyone who still believes local government is supposed to keep people safe. So yes â Freddie OâConnell, you are a dummy. A supreme dummy â and Dummy of the Week.
Executive Order 30: âTransparencyâ Meets Treason-by-Stupidity
Back in May, ICE teamed up with Tennessee Highway Patrol for a major operation in Nashville. Nearly 200 illegal immigrants were detained. These werenât paperwork mix-ups. Weâre talking convicted rapists, drug dealers, and individuals tied to MS-13. Exactly the kind of people Tennesseans voted to remove from our communities.
OâConnell didnât thank law enforcement, and he sure didnât reassure the public. Instead, he panicked that his office wasnât in the loop. His solution? He issued Executive Order 30, which forced every Metro department â from MNPD to Parks & Rec â to report any interaction with federal immigration authorities directly to him and his Office of New Americans. And then he ordered the data be posted publicly for âtransparency.â
What happened next? ICE agent names and locations ended up on a Metro website. Undercover federal officers, exposed.
Critics called it doxxing, because thatâs exactly what it was. âBoots-with-Suitsâ Congressman Andy Ogles blasted OâConnell for âaiding and abetting illegal immigration.â Senator Marsha Blackburn didnât mince words either: âBy releasing these officersâ names to the public, Mayor OâConnell handed criminal gangs information on a silver platter that they can use to target these officers and their families.â
And OâConnellâs defense? âThe intent of Executive Order 30 has always been transparency, not to interfere with federal operations.â
Translation: Oopsie-daisy. Accidentally endangered federal agents, pinky promise itâll never happen again. Cross my heart, hope to bike-lane right into the next fiasco.
Except that âoopsâ triggered a full-blown federal investigation. The House Judiciary and Homeland Security Committees are now sifting through hundreds of documents, digging into whether OâConnell obstructed ICE operations, tipped off raids, or misused taxpayer dollars through his so-called Belonging Fund â a âpartnershipâ with nonprofits, some of which already soaked up millions in Biden-era stimulus cash.
So letâs call it what it is: not a Belonging Fund, but a Belonging-to-My-Buddies Fund. A taxpayer-financed cuddle puddle for activist groups who already cashed in once and came back for seconds.
The Crescendo: Brutal Crime in Nashville
And while OâConnell was busy playing progressive theater, reality crashed in.
On August 18, Nashville firefighters responding to an unrelated call stumbled onto a horrific scene: a Somali immigrant, Mohamed Mohamed, allegedly raping a 34-year-old homeless woman on the steps of a church. The firefighters physically restrained him until MNPD arrived. The woman was rushed to Vanderbilt, where she later died.
Her death isnât an abstraction. Itâs the most brutal illustration of where OâConnellâs policies lead.
As Tom Pappert reported in the Tennessee Star, this is part of a disturbing trend: immigrant offenders committing violent crimes in Tennessee. In late 2024 alone, there were at least nine arrests or convictions of illegal immigrants for rape â including three child rape cases.
These arenât scare tactics. Theyâre the receipts, itemized and timestamped. This is what happens when the mayor of Tennesseeâs capital spends more energy shielding criminals than shielding his own citizens.
And letâs drop the snark for a second: people are dead because of leadership like this. Tennesseans are footing the bill â in blood â for Freddie OâConnellâs Democrat-approved fantasy politics.
The Excuses, the Enablers, the Silence
Instead of accountability, OâConnell offers excuses. In one interview, he whined that his office was getting more media attention than Andy Ogles. He even tried to sound above it all, claiming heâs âuninterested in rhetorical check boxesâ â which is hilarious coming from a man whose entire career is built on hashtags and buzzwords like âbelonging.â
But OâConnell isnât bumbling through this alone. Heâs got a whole cheering section: Aftyn Behn. Bo Dixon. John Ray Clemmons. And right here at home, Williamson County Democrat Party Chair Ragan Grossman. Remember those names. Theyâre not spectators â theyâre co-signers. They clap like trained seals, nod like dashboard bobbleheads, and would shove the same reckless policies down your throat if they ever got the chance.
And Grossman? Letâs talk more about her since sheâs right here in Williamson County. She runs the local Democratic Party and loves to pose as âmiddle of the road,â the big-tent type whispering to disaffected Republicans, âCome on over, weâre reasonable.â
No, the hell youâre not. Backing Freddie OâConnellâs playbook â doxxing ICE, shielding criminals, laundering tax dollars through slush funds â isnât moderate. Itâs extreme. Itâs reckless. And every time you smile and pretend otherwise, you prove it.
So hereâs the question for every one of them: do you support this? Yes or no. No mealy-mouthed answers. No hiding behind slogans. No speeches: Yes or no.
And whereâs the local media? Whereâs Phil Williams, the tenacious gumshoe who never misses a chance to dig into corruption? He can chase down a city contractorâs expense account like itâs Watergate, but when ICE agents are exposed and women are murdered in the streets, suddenly the trench coatâs at the cleaners.
The Dummy
So letâs tally up the âoutcomesâ of Freddie OâConnellâs work â since heâs the one who said he wants to be judged that way:
Nearly 200 criminal illegals arrested in Nashville.
ICE agents doxxed on a Metro website.
Nashville officially branded a sanctuary jurisdiction by the Trump administration.
A federal investigation into obstruction and misuse of funds.
And a 34-year-old woman, raped on church steps and dead before her 35th birthday.
Those are your outcomes, Freddie.
And through it all, the man doesnât even look like a mayor. He looks like a frail soy boy living off kale powder, the kind of guy who gets winded opening a Capri Sun and thinks governing means lecturing others about bike lanes. Yet Nashville handed him the keys to the capital city.
And because life has a dark sense of humor, he insists on being called Freddie. With an âi-e.â What adult does that? Youâre not a kidsâ show sidekick. Youâre not the tambourine player in a ska band. Youâre the mayor of Nashville â and youâve branded yourself with the same weakness you govern with.
Soy Sanctuary, indeed. Fully earned. Long overdue. Freddie OâConnell: Dummy of the Week.
Nashville â it doesnât have to be this way. And to every Democrat who props this up: why do you support this?
